We are an independent local charity based in Bosham, Chichester offering a wide range of services to support our patients, and their loved ones, who are living with a life limiting or terminal illness. The work we do makes a real difference to the lives of local people and we support over 330 patients at any one time between our In Patient Unit and Community teams.
Being an HR Administrator at St Wilfrid’s
Part-Time | 22.5 hours per week | 3 to 4 days per week | Office based with occasional home working
We’re excited to welcome a new HR Administrator to join our friendly and supportive HR Team here at St Wilfrid’s Hospice.

What you’ll do
This is a very varied role where you’ll play a key part in ensuring our people processes run smoothly and that all our people feel supported throughout their journey with us. You’ll:
- Support recruitment and onboarding, including adverts, interviews & pre-employment checks
- Prepare contracts and HR documentation
- Maintain accurate HR records and update HR systems (CIPHR & Training Tracker)
- Respond to employee and manager queries professionally and confidentially
- Process contract and payroll changes and support wellbeing & training activities
- Help improve processes and support HR projects
This is a part-time role of 22.5 hours per week, which can be worked across 3 or 4 days to suit your schedule. The role is predominantly office-based at our beautiful purpose-built Hospice in Bosham, allowing you to be part of our friendly on-site team, with the option for occasional pre-arranged home working days to support flexibility and work–life balance.

Qualifications and Experience
- 3+ years’ experience in a busy administration role
- Excellent communication, organisation & attention to detail
- Confident with Microsoft Office & data handling
- Discreet, supportive and customer-focused
- Desirable:HR administration experience, CIPD Level 3 (or working towards), experience in charity and / or healthcare.
