Description

About the Role

This role will focus on expanding playing opportunities and supporting workforce development, enabling students to engage in the game as players, coaches or officials. A key part of this role will be to foster stronger connections between university rugby, the wider rugby community, and England Rugby’s strategic objectives.

Working across the whole BUCS Rugby Union programme, the role will work with BUCS and England Rugby’s Competitions Team to annually review and develop the competition offer to ensure it remains dynamic and inclusive. Included in this is providing support to the BUCS Super Rugby programme and responsibility for the delivery of the Milk Championship Finals event.

The successful candidate will have an eye for detail and ability to collect and analyse data, providing reports to England Rugby and the Students’ RFU to improve insight and identify trends, enabling targeted campaigns aimed at increasing participation to be successfully implemented.

While this role is typically offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract, the successful candidate will initially join on a 6 month fixed-term contract aligned to the current funding cycle. There is a strong possibility of extension, subject to future funding.
