Education Administration Executive

The Premier League's Youth Development team is seeking an Education Administration Executive to support the implementation of the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP). This long-term plan aims to help young individuals achieve their potential both on and off the field, while also supporting the development and personal growth of elite players. 

The Premier League’s Education team within the Youth department is looking for an outstanding Education Administrator to act as lead administrative support for the Scholar education programmes. The right candidate will have first-class communication skills, a strong background in educational administration, enthusiasm to deliver, and high levels of accuracy in all their work.

All staff liaise closely with their line manager to manage their time appropriately and according to their work and team requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the effective delivery of the Premier League’s education strategy by ensuring administrative accuracy, system integrity, and coordination across all funded education programmes
  • Provide essential infrastructure for quality assurance, data reporting, and learner tracking, enabling the League and Clubs to deliver high-quality, player-centred academic experiences
  • Work closely with the Education Administration Manager and the wider Education and Academy Support team to administer programmes for approximately 650 learners in the Professional Development Phase (PDP)
  • Contribute to the strategic objectives of the enhanced education funding programme

Learner Administration and Record-Keeping

  • Support the enrolment and agreement processes for all PDP learners
  • Monitor and report on the Induction and Initial Assessment process for Scholars
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date cohort lists, including subject-specific groupings (e.g. A Level, Functional Skills)
  • Record and monitor player engagement in funded programmes (e.g. SEP)
  • Track and update Additional Learning Needs (ALN) records
  • Ensure monthly monitoring and compliance updates via the Education Portal across all qualifications (BTEC, A Level, SEP, Functional Skills, NCFE, Off-the-Job Logs, and others such as Assessor Qualifications)
  • Collate Player Review data and maintain documentation
  • Maintain detailed records of subcontracted education providers, delivery staff, and CVs.
  • Support the confirmation and setup of exam centres (e.g. A Level, Functional Skills)

Systems and Data Management

  • Ensure all contact/distribution lists and user access permissions are accurate and up to date in coordination with the Education Administration Manager
  • Responsible for inputting and maintaining staff and learner records across multiple education and administration systems, including ACE360, Edexcel Online, Education Portal, Learner Record Service (LRS), LMS, Maytas, NCFE Portal, and Microsoft Teams

Virtual School Support

  • Support the Senior Quality, Teaching & Learning Manager and Education Curriculum Manager with the administration of the Premier League Virtual School, including learner enrolment, monthly tracking, exam centre logistics, and the exam results process

Qualification and Funding Claims Support

  • Support BTEC and NCFE qualification achievement claims by assisting with the Summary of Results Form (SRF) process, verifying final grade claims, and ensuring compliance with awarding body specifications

Programme, Event and Team Support

  • Provide administrative support for key meetings, including scheduling, preparing materials, and recording minutes
  • Maintain the central calendar of consultant visits and track visit records
  • Collate and distribute relevant administrative data to stakeholders (e.g. Senior Education Advisers, Careers, H&S)
  • Support the stakeholder feedback process (e.g. surveys) and compile data for analysis.
  • Assist with the tracking of player destination data (e.g. apprentice transitions)
  • Provide logistical and administrative support before, during, and after education conferences and events
  • Support administration across the wider Education and Academy Support leadership team
  • Maintain records of staff CPD and stakeholder attendance at Premier League-led events

Role Requirement

  • Experience in apprenticeship administration or broader education administration
  • Experience using Management Information Systems (MIS), education platforms, and managing large datasets
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Teams and Office applications, particularly in education contexts
  • Experience engaging with awarding organisations and regulatory agencies
  • Proven ability to handle confidential data and demonstrate discretion
  • High attention to detail, including proofreading and report checking
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across an interdisciplinary environment
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify trends
  • Understanding of professional sports performance or youth development environments
  • Appreciation of the cultural and operational differences across Clubs
  • High personal integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

  • Enhanced DBS clearance required
