Payroll and Benefits Executive - Premier League Studios
The Premier League Studio’s is recruiting for a Payroll and Benefits Executive to play a key role will support the full payroll and benefits needs for the core and freelance side of Premier League Studios.
This new role will oversee all payroll, rewards and benefits inputting alongside verifying all of the monthly payroll data is correct before sending to our managed service provider – EPI-USE, highlighting any concerns/issues and will include the processing of leaver/exiting paperwork alongside P11Ds and P60s.
The preferred candidate would also feel comfortable in producing monthly payroll and benefits metrics alongside payroll reports for HMRC, internal departments and external auditors.

Our hybrid-working model also allows you some variety on your place of work, offering you the chance to work from home on some days each week, where possible. You will be expected to attend the office or site visits in line with our company policy. All staff liaise closely with their line manager to manage their time appropriately and according to their work and team requirements.
The Role
Operational Delivery
Co-ordinate first-class core operational delivery for the People team. This includes, but not limited to:
- Payroll & Benefits Administration:Manage end-to-end payroll processes, including inputting and verifying monthly data, processing P11Ds/P60s, issuing auto-enrolment letters, and ensuring compliance with HMRC reporting requirements.
- Reporting & Compliance:Produce monthly management reports, ad hoc payroll/benefits data, and statutory reports (e.g., Gender Pay Gap). Keep policies current and inform leadership of regulatory changes (IR35, NIC updates).
- Provider Liaison:Act as primary contact for benefits and pension providers, coordinating all related administration and resolving queries promptly.
- Annual Review & Incentives:Support salary reviews and process bonuses, LTIPs, and other incentive payments accurately and on time.
- System & Process Management:Maintain HR and payroll systems, streamline processes, and recommend best practice improvements for efficiency.
- Training & Guidance:Deliver payroll training and one-to-one support for managers, ensuring accurate input and compliance.
- Independent Delivery:Operate as a stand-alone payroll lead within a small People team, reporting directly to the Head of People.
Role Requirement
- Proven experience in payroll administration and benefits management.
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, HMRC reporting, and statutory compliance (e.g., IR35, NICs).
- Proficient in HR and payroll systems with excellent data accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience producing management reports and statutory reporting (e.g., Gender Pay Gap).
- Ability to manage annual salary reviews, bonuses, and incentive payments.
- Skilled in liaising with external providers (benefits, pensions) and handling related administration.
- Familiarity with P11Ds, P60s, and auto-enrolment processes.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working independently in a stand-alone role within a small team.
- Strong communication skills for training managers and providing guidance.
- Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused approach.
