About you We are looking for someone with a firm Gospel resolve who is marked by grace, gentleness, humility and servant-heartedness. You will need good pastoral skills and some experience of working with young people and ideally students. Your ability to teach is a priority, with experience of Bible handling and teaching in a number of settings. You will need to enjoy both being part of a supportive team along with spending time by yourself, and will therefore also need to be a self- starter. Above all you will need a passion for Jesus and his gospel and enjoy sharing him with others as you make a difference spiritually, under God, to the lives of young people and adult volunteer leaders. This role is suitable for someone who has experience of youth work as a volunteer and is interested in exploring full-time gospel ministry. Gloddaeth (‘Glod’) Holidays is an exciting ministry that shares the good news of Jesus with thousands of young people every year, which we do by running residential holidays and through our schools ministry. We run Christian holidays predominantly for young people from independent schools in the North, the Midlands and Wales. Currently we organise one Easter holiday (for 16-18 year olds) and six summer holidays (three for 10-13 year olds and three for 14-18 year olds) with 330-380 young people attending each year. In addition we have an extensive leadership training programme geared towards our 200-250 volunteer assistant leaders and leaders which consists of several residential events throughout the year. Our main historic focus is on independent schools whilst also being open to opportunities to support ministry and pupils in maintained schools. About the role The female staff worker, alongside the other four staff and 2-3 post-graduate trainees, has a varied role including visiting schools to run Christian meetings and assemblies, as well as assisting with the residential weekends and holidays throughout the year. They will also help develop new links into new schools. Their main focus is on equipping girls and women to hear of Jesus, to grow in faith and to be cared for in their involvement with Glod both at camp and year-round.
