Female Staff Worker

(FULL-TIME)

come from unchurched backgrounds. It is an
exciting time to join the staff team as we continue
to regroup after the pandemic, endeavour to
reflect Jesus more and more in our culture, and
seek to expand to more and more schools.

About you
We are looking for someone with a firm Gospel
resolve who is marked by grace, gentleness,
humility and servant-heartedness. You will need
good pastoral skills and some experience of
working with young people and ideally students.
Your ability to teach is a priority, with experience
of Bible handling and teaching in a number of
settings. You will need to enjoy both being part of
a supportive team along with spending time by
yourself, and will therefore also need to be a self-
starter. Above all you will need a passion for Jesus
and his gospel and enjoy sharing him with others
as you make a difference spiritually, under God,
to the lives of young people and adult volunteer
leaders. This role is suitable for someone who has
experience of youth work as a volunteer and is
interested in exploring full-time gospel ministry.

Gloddaeth (‘Glod’) Holidays is an
exciting ministry that shares the good
news of Jesus with thousands of young
people every year, which we do by
running residential holidays and through
our schools ministry.

We run Christian holidays predominantly for
young people from independent schools in the
North, the Midlands and Wales. Currently we
organise one Easter holiday (for 16-18 year olds)
and six summer holidays (three for 10-13 year
olds and three for 14-18 year olds) with 330-380
young people attending each year. In addition we
have an extensive leadership training programme
geared towards our 200-250 volunteer assistant
leaders and leaders which consists of several
residential events throughout the year. Our main
historic focus is on independent schools whilst
also being open to opportunities to support
ministry and pupils in maintained schools. You
can read more about us on www.glod.co.uk as
well as our parent charity on www.titustrust.org.

About the role
The female staff worker, alongside the other four
staff and 2-3 post-graduate trainees,
has a varied role including visiting
schools to run Christian meetings
and assemblies, as well as assisting
with the residential weekends and
holidays throughout the year. They
will also help develop new links into
new schools. Their main focus is on
equipping girls and women to hear
of Jesus, to grow in faith and to be
cared for in their involvement with
Glod both at camp and year-round.
It involves a blend of supporting
people to grow in faith along with
helping the many young people who
are still exploring what they believe
for themselves e.g. 70-80% of the
young people on the Glod camps
