For the 25/26 academic year, GSU are recruiting for a Student Administrator to support with various administrative duties across our governance structures.
General Responsibilities:
Previous administrative experience is preferable.
Duties and Key Responsibilities:

Facilitation: Encourage participation from all attendees, draw out quieter voices, and manage dominant or aggressive participants.

Preparation and planning: Request and collate documentation for meeting agendas.

Minute taking: Use active listening skills to capture key points, discussions, decisions, voting outcomes, and action items.

Prepare minutes: Compile notes into a clear, concise, and formal document, using templates for consistency.

Report and action sharing: Ensure finalised minutes are sent to attendees and stakeholders in a timely manner.

Maintain records: Keep organised, accessible, and confidential records of all meeting minutes.

Follow up: Ensure action items assigned during meetings are documented and tracked.
Meeting Dates and Availability:
You will need to be available for the scheduled Board of Trustees, Scrutiny Panel, and GSU Council meetings throughout the academic year (full schedule provided above). Other meetings may be required.
