Our three beautiful villages of Whitwell, Preston and St Paul’s Walden are looking for a new Vicar, who is spiritual and prayerful, sacramental and missional, dynamic and caring who will help the congregations at our two churches grow in the journey of faith.

Our historic churches are located in North Hertfordshire very close to the market town of Hitchin, with fast rail links to London and to Cambridge and easy access to both the M1 and A1.

There is a modern 5 bedroom vicarage on the edge of the village of Whitwell, next to the school. Each village has a flourishing community life, with a large number of groups and events, making up a community of diverse skills, occupations, interests and faiths.

The vicar will have Team Vicar status as part of the Hitchin Team Ministry, which provides a supportive, friendly and enthusiastic ministry to both Hitchin and these village parishes. We offer friendly and supportive PCCs and communities, with a part-time administrator.

We are seeking a new vicar who will become embedded in the community and grow our church to become a beacon for those seeking to know and follow Jesus.

This is a House-for-Duty post for Sundays plus two days per week.
