Purpose of the role

To support the Education and Training Development Manager in delivering Brook's resource development programme. The Specialist provides practical writing, copy editing, content updating, and delivery support, working at pace on live projects across RSE, PSHE, safeguarding, and professional training. The role is suited to an experienced education practitioner with a background in direct delivery for young people and professionals, and the writing skills to support resource development at a high standard.

Essential criteria

• Direct experience of delivering high quality education to children and young people, in a school, youth work, or equivalent setting

• Experience of delivering high quality training to professionals working with young people

• Strong copy editing and writing skills, with an eye for accuracy, tone, and consistency

• Able to follow a brief and produce clear, well-structured high quality written content to deadline

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word for document production, PowerPoint for presentations and training materials, and Excel for managing databases, tracking data, and supporting evaluation and reporting processes

About the role:

• Hours: Part-Time 22.5 Hours per week

(Upon completing your probationary period, you will be eligible to join the 4 Day Week program, which allows you to work 20% fewer hours without a decrease in salary)

• Contract: Fixed contract (up to 30/11/2026)
• Location: Remote
• Salary: £26,227.50 per annum pro rata
