Senior Support Worker

Location: St. Helens (Sutton area)

39 hours per week

Salary £27,104 per annum based pro rata based on 39 hours per week

We are looking for a dedicated Senior Support Worker to join our team in St. Helens. If you are looking to progress in your career, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you to unlock your potential!

Our Senior Support Workers work in partnership with people we support, enabling them to live as independently as possible and to be part of their local community.

What do we look for in a Senior Support Worker?

  • Be a role model to all staff and demonstrate best practise

  • Great communication skills, naturally caring, flexible and resilient.
  • Have the ability to work flexibly covering day shifts, weekends and occasional sleeps
  • Ability to deputise for the Service Manager where required

 

More about the role

As a Senior Support Worker, you will support the Service Manager to ensure the smooth running of our service. The service you will be based at is a new development which supports a young Gentleman who enjoys activities which include games such as monopoly, and dancing. Where required yourself and the team of Support Workers will also support with housework duties which include, cleaning, ironing and washing. As a Senior Support Worker you will lead by example showing a particular focus on supporting independence and helping people pursue their interest and be active members of their local community.

You will supervise a team of Support Workers, providing encouragement and guidance to achieve the best quality support and practise. This role will allow you to gain new skills and build on your experience for future progression and development. Ideally you will have already obtained your Level 3 Health and Social Care, and will have previous experience in a supporting role.
