Job Specification For: H&S Advisor - Leakage Detection Ref: VR/01398 Job Description Health & Safety advisor Salary: Competitive, plus car, work phone and IT This is a fantastic opportunity for advisor to develop and grow further key skills within a fast- paced Water Leakage Detection industry You will be working for an established Leakage Detection Company contracted to the major water companies based in the Southeast of England reporting directly to the Contracts Managers & H&S Manager. Key Responsibilities • Assist the H&S Manager in the development & implementation of policies & procedures • Assist in the development of the Health & Safety Management System and IMS in accordance with OHSAS 9001,14001 &45001 • Monitor standards, processes, communications, training & systems to ensure a safe workplace without risk to health. • Carry out site safety inspections & audits producing informative reports • Assist the H&S Team in the production of method statements & risk assessments • Advise & support all employees of their statutory duties within their areas of responsibility • Work closely with contract personnel & the H&S Manager to investigate accidents, incidents, dangerous occurrences & near misses, identifying root causes & implementing recommendations for continual improvement • Assist the team in the review of current procedures, policies, safety documents (SSOW) & system manuals • Delivering H&S inductions in-house & on site • Collating & maintaining appropriate H&S records producing reports where required • Pro-actively raise awareness of H&S throughout the organisation • Undertake any other such duties deemed necessary within the department • The ideal candidate will have: • A good working knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental Regulations • Experience managing or supporting in a H&S function • Minimum NEBOSH Gen certificate or equivalent Job Specification provided by: Sappers Network RHQ RE, Ravelin Building Brompton Barracks Chatham, ME4 4UG Tele: +44-(0)7496 083483 Page 1 • Strong people skills, ability to engage at all organisational levels • Highly organised with strong administration skills & excellent computer skills, minimum MS Office & MS 365 • Driving licence, willing to undertake scheduled business travel within the Southeast of England • Previous training experience as trainer or in a strong supporting role would be an advantage • Able to work in a standalone role & as a member of the team Compiled by Compiled on : Fiona Louch : 08/21/25 Job Specification provided by: Sappers Network RHQ RE, Ravelin Building Brompton Barracks Chatham, ME4 4UG Tele: +44-(0)7496 083483 Page 2
