Ardvreck Nursery is looking for a dynamic, passionate Early Years Manager to lead our high-quality early learning provision and'take our setting to the next level.
This is a leadership role with purpose at its heart, where your decisions, your vision, and your energy will directly shape children's experiences every single day.
We are not looking for someone to simply manage a nursery. We are looking for someone to lead learning, drive excellence, and inspire people.
About Ardvreck Nursery
At Ardvreck, childhood is celebrated through curiosity, exploration, and connection.
We provide high-quality early learning for children aged 3-5, with strong links to outdoor learning and Forest Kindergarten practice. Our setting is built on relationships, play, and a deep respect for children as capable, curious learners.
We work in close partnership with Perth & Kinross Council to deliver 1140 hours funded early learning provision, ensuring accessibility for families in our community.
We also run Holiday Explorers (ages 3-7) during school holidays, ofering rich, active, and creative experiences for children beyond term time.
The Role
As Early Years Manager, you will!
• Lead the overall vision, quality, and daily running of the nursery
• Inspire and support a team to deliver outstanding early years practice
• Ensure fullcompliance with Care Inspectorate and regulatory standards
Drive high-quality curriculum delivery using CfE, Realising the Ambition, and GIRFEC
• Champion outdoor learning and Forest Kindergarten experiences
• Oversee safeguarding, wellbeing, and inclusion for every child
• Build strong, trusted relationships with families and partners
• Lead continuous improvement and raise standards across the setting
This is a role where leadership is lived, not just managed.
Who we are looking for
We want a leader who:
Holds an Early Years qualification (essential, ideally BA Childhood Practice or working towards
• Is registered, or eligible to register, with the SSSC
• Has experience leading within an early years or childcare setting
• Understands high-quality early years practice and child development
• Leads with confidence, clarity, and positivity
Can motivate, develop, and inspire a team
• Is committed to outdoor learning and play-based approaches
• Has strong communication, organisation, and decision-making skils
