Trainee Pastor – Downham Site Full-time role, 35 hours per week Consideration may also be given to applicants wishing to work part-time. Overview of the Role We have an excellent opportunity to join the staff team at King’s Church London. The position is for a Trainee Pastor working at our Downham site. The role will include leading one or more ministries, as well as training and development opportunities in general church leadership. This is a salaried position, which includes working on Sundays and some evenings. Saturdays and Fridays are usually days off. We are looking for the right person to join us as soon as possible. What does the role involve? The responsibilities of this role include (but are not limited to): • Leading one or more ministry areas • Helping run our Sunday services • Participating in leadership meetings • Providing administrative and practical support for various ministry areas • Pastoral support for those in the church • Developing leaders • Other ad hoc tasks as and when required The successful candidate will ideally have a heart for God and a desire to work in a church environment long term. What are we looking for? We would love to see evidence that the person has a sense of call to ministry and can demonstrate commitment and passion for building King’s Church London. In addition, the candidate would ideally possess the following skills: • Strong leadership skills • Ability to build, maintain and develop teams. • Ability to communicate effectively verbally skills and writing. • Strong administrative and organisational skills Page 1 of 2 • Competent with using IT • A helpful, servant-hearted attitude towards everyone they meet. • The ability to work as part of a team and • Be teachable and willing to learn.
