The Governors of Gayhurst School wish to appoint an outstanding individual to the position of Head.

Gayhurst School is a co-educational, independent day school in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire with around 340 pupils aged 3 to 11. Gayhurst has a proud history combined with an enviable record of innovation. It prides itself on its high academic standards, excellent pastoral care and strong sense of family and community. Gayhurst offers outstanding facilities on its 2-hectare site, including a new auditorium, sports hall and dance studio opened in 2025.

This appointment is a great opportunity for an existing or aspiring Head to make a lasting impact on the school. The new Head will embrace and personify the school’s core values of enriching learning, developing resilience, independence and confidence.

Outstanding leadership and management skills, commercial understanding, excellent communication skills and resilience will be crucial. The successful applicant will be a strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement a compelling school vision. Key Stage 1 Teacher (Maternity Cover for January or April 2026)

Gayhurst is seeking to appoint an inspirational and dedicated Key Stage One Teacher to join our friendly and highly professional team. The successful candidate will be an innovative teacher with excellent classroom practice. A detailed knowledge of the curriculum and the ability and willingness to teach multiple subjects at Key Stage One is essential. This will be a one-year maternity cover contract.

We would like to recruit a teacher who is an excellent team player with the ability encourage the best from our pupils. We would also value an individual with the willingness to make a wider contribution to the school beyond the classroom.
