St Cedd’s School Site Manager – Person Specification Essential Desirable Proven experience in facilities management and general building maintenance preferably in a school setting A good range of DIY skills such as electrical work, decorating, minor repairs, plumbing and carpentry Take pride in your work with commitment to the role and a willingness to meet challenges with enthusiasm A cheerful, willing, supportive and contributory team player and able to manage and inspire staff by leading by example Resilience under pressure, especially as requirements can sometimes change at short notice Adaptability, being prepared to turn their hand to whatever is reasonably expected within the requirements of the position Flexibility and a willingness to work unsociable hours when required The capability to work without supervision with energy and enthusiasm, commitment and stamina The ability to demonstrate sound judgement and discretion and be calm in a crisis An understanding of and commitment to the safeguarding of children A sympathetic attitude towards the ethos of a busy and thriving school A recent First Aid qualification Sound knowledge of H&S legislation and requirements Proficient IT skills Experience of manual handling procedures Hold a full driving licence and live within 20 minutes of the school
