  • Clinical Lead – In-Patient Unit
    Salary: £50,635 per annum WTE
    37.5 hours per week (including nights and weekends as required)

    As Phyllis Tuckwell prepares to move into our new Hospice, an exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint an experienced Clinical Lead Nurse. This role will work alongside the Inpatient Services Manager and Nursing team and provide expertise in end of life and palliative care. The postholder will have strong leadership skills and deliver high-quality, person-centred care whilst supporting the nursing team and encouraging continuous improvement.

    About You:
    A successful Clinical Lead will:
    • Have experience working at Ward Sister/Charge Nurse/Senior Nurse level or be able to demonstrate proven ability to operate in a senior clinical leadership role.
    • Demonstrate the ability to lead a nursing team and provide day to day management and support to ensure the smooth running of the ward and the delivery of high-quality nursing care.
    • Have experience of directly managing staff and attending to their development needs, through regular 1:1s, appraisals and performance management.
    • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Have excellent organisational and administrative skills, and the ability to prioritise workload.
    • Demonstrate a commitment to practice development, education, audit, continuous learning and quality improvement within the Inpatient setting.
    • Have an RGN Degree Level Qualification.
    • Hold a current NMC registration in adult or general nursing.
    • Have extensive palliative / end of life care or long-term conditions experience.
    • Have experience of multidisciplinary team and external partners working
    • Demonstrate decision-making and critical thinking
