The Research Assistant will provide research and administrative support to ensure the timely completion of the Centre for Inclusive Trade Policy Project under the supervision of Professor Ludivine Petetin (Law) and Dr Alexander Fitzpatrick (Politics). The role will focus on interview transcription, coding, collect and synthesise relevant literature, briefing paper preparation, and event organisation to deliver the project’s final outputs.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Transcribe and code interview data.
  •  To contribute and support research publications, briefing papers, and presentations as required.
  •  To support the organisation of events, including both ahead-of-time preparation and in-person on-the-day support for the research team and attendees.
  •  To undertake background research and literature reviews as required.
  •  To provide administrative support to ensure the timely delivery of project outputs.
  •  To maintain and update knowledge of relevant literature, policies, or events within the area of UK/Welsh trade policy.
  • To participate in School administration and activities to promote the School and its work to the wider University and the outside world.
  • To undergo personal and professional development that is appropriate to and which will enhance performance.
  •  To ensure that an understanding of the importance of confidentiality is applied when undertaking all duties.
  •  To abide by the University policies on Health and Safety and Equality and Diversity.
  •  Any other duties not included above, but consistent with the role.
