THE CO-MISSION CHURCHES TRUST
St. Paul's Harringay
Full-time

Start date: 2026

Salary and housing package included, in line with the London Diocese level.

We are looking for a godly and gifted Assistant/Associate Pastor to grow disciples in our church.

We are a beautiful church community with a vision to love Jesus, love neighbour, grow disciples and plant churches. We are evangelical, Anglican, and part of the Co-Mission network. Our church has lived here in Harringay 130 years but benefitted from a church graft in 2018. We currently have about 100 adults and 40 under 18s.

The primary responsibility of this pastor would be to facilitate and multiply disciple-making within our church (vine work). This could manifest in a number of different practical ways including:

  • Preaching regularly at our Sunday services, in partnership with the Senior Pastor
  • Leading and growing our home group ministry
  • Building, training, and mentoring lay leaders
  • Joining our door knocking team and warming up relationships in the community
  • Overseeing one-to-one discipleship
  • Providing pastor care and support to individuals and families alongside the Senior Pastor
  • Integrating those on the fringe of church

We are building towards a church plant, God willing, and your disciple-making would play a pivotal role in getting us ready for this exciting step.

We would love to hear from energetic, ministry-multiplying self-starters who are willing to work flexibly on a small staff team. You would join us for staff prayers (daily), staff meeting (weekly) and elders’ meetings (monthly). You would become part of the Co-Mission church planting network, benefitting from the training and camaraderie it provides. You would attend Co-Mission Staff Focus (annually) and the REVIVE Bible festival (annually).

We do not expect perfection, but we are looking for aptitude in and experience of teaching the Bible in expository sermons, systematic theology, small groups, one-to-one settings and in personal evangelism. We would like someone who is able to work across a range of cultures and socio-economic backgrounds that God has put in our church family and surrounding community.

This post would suit an ordinand or ordained Anglican, but we may be able to provide it off Common Fund, meaning that we would be interested to hear from independent candidates who could work within an Anglican church in good conscience.

We have recently passed a resolution to come under the oversight of the Bishop of Ebbsfleet, and as such are looking for a male candidate. He would also need to be fully aligned with the CEEC statement of faith and its additional declarations.

You would be expected to comply with the Co-Mission staff protocols, as set out in the Co-Mission Staff Handbook. We would expect you to work full time, including some evenings and weekends, but to organise your diary to ensure that you take adequate rest and properly serve your family.

An occupational requirement exists for the post-holder to be a practising Christian who is aligned with our statement of faith in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.

The appointment is subject to:

  • an enhanced DBS check
  • satisfactory references
  • proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
