Job Title School SLT Administrator Responsible to Senior Deputy Head Role Overview The primary focus of the role is to allow the schools SLT (Senior Leadership Team) to focus on their strategic roles by providing administrative support. A dedicated person who ensures essential organisation and compliance tasks are carried out on time and without mistakes. Responsibilities and Duties Compliance-related • Administration of users on MyConcern. • Responsibility for safeguarding-related comms with schools of outgoing and incoming students • Minutes of staff and Houseparent meetings and distribution of minutes (written by others) of other sub-committees, plus action tracking. • Managing in iAMCompliant all policy updates and reviews • Reports from behaviour logs and tracking of academic concerns • DfE and ISC Census data entry • Making all relevant updates to iSAMS for students and parents • Support preparation of handbooks, policies etc Communications with parents • Administration of parent-teacher meetings - configuring the meetings, establishing usable set lists, log-in codes, timetabling, car-parking and room organisation. Communicating all the essential info before the meeting to parents, teachers and other internal teams. • Administrative oversight of communications with parents on a Friday (many emails) and on Saturday (the weekly bulletin). • Administrative oversight of reply forms from parents e.g. ticket requests for events at school, responses to trip-related queries about billing or logistics. • TLC Billing information for Finance disbursements Admin support for internal events and activities • Administration of cover and where possible emergency cover. • Administration of room changes as required. • Support for staff CPD • Manage staff email distribution lists, and parent access to Guardian Summaries and the Parent Portal. • Organising meetings, rooms, agendas, minutes • Compliance tracking and inspection readiness • Administering academic budgets • Manage event logistics Person Specification Essential ● Embody the values of Clayesmore, demonstrating loyalty to the school and its ethos ● Previous secretarial experience ● Excellent personal and organisational skills with the ability to multitask whilst maintaining strong attention to detail ● A ‘people person’ able to work well as part of a team, always willing to go the extra mile ● A relentlessly cheerful, approachable, flexible and ‘can-do’ attitude ● Be professional, polite, efficient and discreet at all times ● Able to work under pressure and to meet deadlines ● Strong attention to details, articulate and high levels of literacy and numeracy ● Self motivated and able to demonstrate initiative and problem solving skills ● Computer literate, specifically Microsoft and Google packages with an understanding of the principles of good data management ● Courteous, cheerful, welcoming and caring demeanour and telephone manner ● Demonstrates the ability to interact well with all members of the school and wider community ● Professional personal appearance and conduct at all times Desirable ● Previous experience of working in a similar educational setting ● Experience of using iSAMS Date prepared : Prepared by : December 2025 Tom Havard and Nicola Jones Clayesmore School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
