This job description will be supplementedby annual objectives which will be developed in conjunction with the post holder.YOUR BENEFITSWHY JOIN US?To be friendly and approachable and provide support to the 21 residents of Rogers Court  To be able to keep calm and deescalate any challenging behaviour  Work alongside the Case Worker to provide support sessions feeding into a widersupport plan to help a person reach their goals  Input and maintain accurate records for people living at Rogers Court, using SMART’sClient Management System.  Develop and run on site activities' to engage those living at Rogers Court.  Support and encourage individuals to access specialist support on site, where desired,e.g. GP treatment and advice, Mental Health support, drug and alcohol support, harmreduction advice.KEY TASKSAs a part of the Rogers Court support team, you will be a familiar, friendlyface providing practical onsite support to our residents.The post holder will be proactive and motivated, with great interpersonaland communication skills. Someone with passion for supporting peoplewith complex needs is a must, and you must be able to work in a trauma-informed way. The post holder will need to be flexible in their approach andbe comfortable to adapt as the needs of the organisation and role change.THE ROLEWe are looking for someone who is comfortable and familiar with working in a smallcompany or charity, understanding that capacity and resources are limited. As such,a ‘can do’ attitude and motivated approach is key.There will often be multiple, sometimes conflicting priorities, so you will need to bewell organised and with excellent communication skills.You’ll have an empathetic approach with an understanding of the challenges facingpeople that are homeless or rough sleeping. You will be able to record information onour database ensuring that records are kept up to date.Aside from this, you will have the resilience to work with people who struggle toengage in services like ours and will think outside of the box to encourageengagement.We would love it if you have experience of support work, and are able to identify keyengagement strategies that are based in working in a trauma-informed way, but ifyou haven’t done this before, and are willing to learn, we would still love to hear fromyou. THE ROLE CONT...
