Queens’ College is looking for an Alumni Engagement Manager to manage the College’s ongoing strategy of engaging with its alumni and supporters across the world, to enable lifelong affiliation with Queens’ and to encourage philanthropic and other support. This will involve hosting and speaking at events, being the first point of contact for alumni (including visits to the College) and managing communications with alumni and friends.
The Alumni Engagement Manager will be a prominent ambassador for the College, at the forefront of all aspects of alumni engagement, including our extensive events portfolio. We need someone who will take ownership of all these activities and be the front face of the College via phone/email, in person, at the college and at all events. They will also develop new engagement activities.
This is a management role with responsibility for line-managing two staff members who help deliver the engagement activities outlined here.
We are looking for someone with:
- Education to undergraduate level or equivalent relevant experience
- Experience of line managing staff
- The ability to encourage, support and motivate direct reports, respecting their own skills and expertise
- Experience in managing, planning and delivering a variety of types and complexity of events
- Strong organisational, project management and multitasking skills
- Capable and confident to be the primary host of an event and deliver a welcome address to event attendees (ranging from 10-300)
This is a 36.5 hours per week role, with a requirement for these hours to be worked usually Monday to Friday. Additional hours may be necessary from time to time, for which time off in lieu will be provided.

Remuneration and Benefits:
- Salary: £40,480.69 – £41,880.47 per annum depending on experience
- Final Salary Pension Scheme after qualifying period
