Ward Sister

- £53,371.50 per annum
- 37.5 hours per week. Fixed Term Contract to cover Maternity Leave until February 2027

We are seeking an experienced and inspirational Ward Sister to cover maternity leave to lead our inpatient nursing team. You will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of clinical excellence and compassionate care, supporting both patients and their families during some of life’s most challenging moments.
You will:
- Provide strong clinical leadership and management to nursing and support staff.
- Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care.
- Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Promote professional development, reflective practice, and wellbeing among staff.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and uphold hospice values in all aspects of care.
You will need to:
- Demonstrate an interest in specialist palliative care
- Display a kind, empathetic and person-centred approach
- Be an effective communicator who is able to confidently engage people at all levels
- Work well under pressure
- Work as a team player
- Provide innovative solutions
- Maintain strict confidentiality
- Be a first level Adult Registered Nurse.
- Have evidence of professional development.
Ideally have: A relevant qualification in Palliative Care
Management or Leadership qualification
A post-graduate qualification or equivalent experience in Palliative
