The Role

Are you ready to take ownership of a diverse portfolio of PFI/PPP projects and play a pivotal role in ensuring their long-term success? We’re looking for an SPV Manager who thrives on building strong relationships, navigating complex contractual environments, and driving high-quality service delivery. In this role, you’ll be the key link between stakeholders, acting as the Contractor’s Representative and ensuring that every aspect of our PFI concessions is expertly managed, compliant, and strategically aligned with shareholder priorities.

What You’ll Be Doing

As our SPV Manager, you will:

  • Lead the day-to-day management of a varied portfolio of operational PFI/PPP projects, with support from the Head of Property & Asset Management.
  • Act as the Contractor’s Representative, working closely with Project Co stakeholders to oversee the delivery of contractual obligations.
  • Be the central point of contact for FM Contractors, Authority Representatives and Funders, building strong relationships and ensuring seamless communication.
  • Monitor FM Contractor performance, ensuring services are delivered to contractual standards and addressing any performance issues proactively.
  • Maintain accurate records, ensuring all Project Co documents, reports, and technical assessments are properly managed and archived.
  • Coordinate and implement contract changes and variations across the project portfolio.
  • Produce detailed operational reports for inclusion in Group and Divisional Board reporting.
  • Lead and support Handback preparation, ensuring compliance with all contractual requirements.
  • Review lifecycle applications and manage relevant approval processes.
  • Provide senior support to the Property & Asset Management team and deputise for the Head of Department when required.

About You

You’ll succeed in this role if you bring:

  • A degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Experience within the education or health sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of PFI/PPP environments, ideally at SPV level, with experience attending client meetings.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of Facilities Management, Quality Systems and Health & Safety principles.
  • Strong IT capability, with excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to pick up new systems quickly.
  • Confident decision-making abilities and a proactive mindset.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to listen, collaborate, challenge constructively, and build credibility with stakeholders at all levels.
