Job Title:               Money Buddy

Responsible to:     Money Buddy Supervisor

Salary:                   SCP 12 £ 26,555

Annual leave:        29 days per year and 8 Public/Bank holidays pro-rata,

3 fixed closed holidays

Hours:                   32.5 hrs per week (Monday – Friday between 9am – 4pm)

Exciting opportunities have arisen to join the existing Burmantofts Community Project Team based at the Money Advice Centre in Burmantofts in Leeds.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of all Microsoft Office Packages and case management systems
  • Has unconditional positive regard, empathy and emotional resilience

Ebor Gardens Advice Centre is a Burmantofts Community Project (the Charity) and is funded by the Money Advice and Pension Service, Leeds City Council, The Trussell Trust and Energy Redress. The services provide face to face money advice, a form filling service (Benefit Buddies) and a high-profile financial inclusion service (Money Buddies) and now, Energy advice (Energy Buddies).

Main responsibilities of this post will be to provide support in helping clients maximise their income including identifying potential welfare benefit entitlements.

You’ll provide tailored support through BCP’s financial capability services, helping individuals improve their money management and energy efficiency.

You will also provide some level of consultancy to and take internal referrals from other team members. You will need excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent IT skills, and the ability to work as part of a team.
