The Role

Inclusion EB8 is a pioneering employability and personal development programme for 16–25-year-olds with additional needs and/or mental health difficulties. We equip young people with the skills, confidence, and experiences to progress into employment, training, or independence.

As our Employability Tutor, you will lead the planning and delivery of group sessions focused on careers education, life skills, and personal development. You will support learners in gaining meaningful accreditation (e.g. ASDAN, AQA), facilitate enrichment opportunities and workplace visits, and contribute to their broader progression journeys, working closely with the wider EB8 team.

This is a dynamic teaching role suited to someone passionate about inclusive education, employability, and supporting young people toward their futures.

  • Plan and deliver weekly group sessions in employability, personal development, and life skills, adapting for diverse learner needs.
  • Deliver and support learners through ASDAN Careers & Experiencing Work Course, AQA Unit Awards & potential other certification.
  • Track and evidence learner progress through our MIS, session notes, reflections, and qualification/work experience logs.
  • Plan and support enrichment, workplace visits, and workshops alongside the wider team.
  • Help maintain student profiles and contribute to target setting linked to EHCP outcomes and career goals.
  • Co-develop curriculum plans each half term, reflecting learner voice and progression priorities.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure sessions meet the emotional and developmental needs of students.
  • Assist with quality assurance of qualifications and support moderation processes.
  • Participate in team meetings and training opportunities.
  • Act as a visible and supportive presence across EB8, promoting respect, confidence, and professionalism.

Inclusion Education recognises and values the enriching contribution which people from a range of backgrounds and experiences can bring to the life and development of the Organisation. We therefore aim to provide a service which, in its teaching, administration and support services, actively promotes equality of opportunity and freedom from discrimination on grounds of age, cultural background, disability, ethnicity, gender, religion or sexual orientation.

All employees have a responsibility to promote and maintain a safe and healthy working environment, by taking reasonable care of their own health and safety at work and the well-being of colleagues and students. Line managers have specific responsibility for the health and safety of the team for which they have general management responsibility.
