WEST Youth Zoneis a vital provision that has already made a huge impact on thelives of young people, and on the whole borough, levelling theplaying field for our young people. “WEST” Youth Zone, named Where Everyone SticksTogether by local young people, opened in April 2024. AtWEST, we believe all young people in West London should havethe opportunity to discover their passion and their purpose andbe able to explore where it can take them. Our Youth Zone is a purpose-built space fizzing with energy andcrammed with incredible facilities. Staffed by talented, skilledand dedicated youth workers who truly believe in youngpeople, helping them see what they could achieve, and givingthem the skills, confidence and ambition to go for it. Open 7 days a week, while schools are closed - that’s eveningsand weekends, plus all through the school holidays. We offer asafe and active space for young people to flourish in theirleisure time, where their interests can be nurtured, and they cangrow as individuals. This is a charity that the whole communitycan be proud of, and you can be part of that journey. To deal with any problems that arise during Youth Zone sessions.Develop and maintain a professional relationship with the young people who attendWEST Youth Zone.Understand the needs of WEST Youth Zone and communicate them in a clear,consistent way to the young people, parents and guardians.Work within the performance framework of WEST Youth Zone and OnSide. Every young person has challenges, and most need an escape in some way. The purpose ofthis role is to develop and deliver an exciting, engaging and inclusive programme of activitieswhich will engage young people aged 8 – 19 years (up to 25 for young people with additionalneeds) at WEST Youth Zone. Youth workers plan and deliver high quality youth work thatsupports young people in their personal, social and educational development. The role willrequire you to assist with our Juniors (8-12 yrs) or Seniors (13-19, up to 25 with additionallearning needs). You will be supporting our young people in accessing the range of fantasticactivities that we have on offer.Open 7 days a week including school holidays, WEST Youth Zone’s purpose is to help youngpeople grow to be happy, healthy and successful adults. Our state-of-the-art buildingprovides young people with a range of activities, giving young people the opportunity to trynew things, meet new friends and gain support from friendly, warm and positive staff andvolunteers. You will be working in the Rec, which is an integral part and considered the heartbeat of the Youth Zone.
