Domestic Assistant – Ashford (Flexi contract)

Pilgrims Hospices is looking for friendly, Flexi Contract Domestic Assistants to join our team to help keep our hospice clean for all those who work, visit and stay at our Ashford hospice site.

The Role

As a Flexi Domestic Assistant you will work as part of a team to ensure our hospice environment remains clean and pleasant, covering when team members are on leave or sick. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Various cleaning duties to a high standard
  • Replenishing washroom supplies
  • Basic record keeping
  • Reporting of any defects or damage found on our site
  • Safely disposing of waste
  • Attending team meetings

The post holder must ensure that cleaning is completed to a high standard, in line with standards expected within a healthcare environment.

Working Arrangements

These roles will be part of our flexi bank and will not have a set amount of hours. You will be contacted in advance to cover any annual leave or sickness. This role is perfect for anyone looking to pick up shifts as and when to suit your work/life.

You will be based at Pilgrims Hospice Ashford. Working patterns for shifts are usually between Monday-Sunday with start times 7.30am or 13.30. You will be provided with on-site parking, a uniform and subsidised meals during your work day.
