This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced weddings or events professional to help shape, sell, and deliver extraordinary celebrations in a truly unique heritage setting. As part of the Kelmarsh Trust, our work is underpinned by three core aims: • Conserving and managing the built and natural environment • Promoting education about the hall, estate, and its natural history • Providing meaningful public access Your role will directly support these aims by ensuring that weddings hosted at Kelmarsh Hall reflect our ethos, heritage, and commitment to excellence. Overall Purpose of the Role 1. Promote, sell, and secure wedding bookings at Kelmarsh Hall. 2. Co-ordinate wedding days, ensuring seamless delivery and an exceptional client experience at the venue. 3. Liaise with external suppliers and caterers, supporting collaborative, high-quality event execution. Key Responsibilities Sales & Promotion • Proactively identify suitable weddings and events that align with the Hall’s ethos and availability, ensuring commercial viability. • Promote Kelmarsh Hall as a premier venue for civil ceremonies and receptions, using creative and legitimate marketing approaches within budget. • Conduct initial enquiries, host venue show rounds, and prepare formal proposals that uphold the standards and values of the Trust. • Maintain strong knowledge of competitors, market trends, new developments, and client expectations. • Undertake ongoing sales research to identify opportunities for new business. Planning & Administration • Prepare all contracts, paperwork, and administrative requirements for confirmed weddings and events. • Brief internal teams regarding set-up, presentation, cleanliness, and operational requirements. Event Delivery & Front of House • Provide professional front-of-house presence for weddings and some events, including welcoming clients, supporting their needs, and ensuring the venue is immaculate. • Work regular Saturdays and/or evenings as required by the events calendar. • Ensure appropriate cover is arranged during absence, guaranteeing that a trained Kelmarsh representative is always on-site. • Oversee security and site closure, resolving issues discreetly and responsibly. Health & Safety & Team Support • Carry out duties with full regard for personal and public safety. • Maintain up-to-date risk assessments, complete staff inductions, and ensure pre- opening checklists are followed. • Support wider Estate Office tasks as required, contributing to a collaborative small- team environment. Skills & Experience We are looking for a candidate who is: • Sales Focused – ideally experience in weddings and or events • Highly organised, detail-focused, and commercially minded • An excellent communicator, confident dealing with clients, suppliers, and colleagues at all levels • A natural relationship-builder with a warm, professional manner • Able to balance the demands of sales, administration, and on-the-day delivery of weddings and events • Proactive in identifying new business, opportunities, and ways to elevate the client experience • Dedicated to upholding the heritage, conservation aims, and charitable objectives of the Kelmarsh Trust Essential: A minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales ideally of weddings or events Demonstrable success in wedding sales, coordination, and client management How to Apply Please address your application to The Events and Marketing Manager and submit it by Wednesday 7th January 2026.
