Soho House is seeking an experienced Cinema Projectionist to join our West London team at White City House (W12 7FR).
Soho House is seeking an experienced Cinema Projectionist to join our West London team at White City House (W12 7FR).
As a Cinema Projectionist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining projection equipment that is used to show movies or other audio visual presentations at the Electric Cinema Screening room.

Role description
Day-to-day operation of all technical aspects of cinema operation, including but not limited to:
- Shift-based work, working a mix of days, evenings and weekends.
- Running daily screenings to the high presentation levels expected of Soho House screening rooms / Electric cinemas
- Projection and sound equipment maintenance
- Ensuring that all areas of cinema auditorium are well maintained at all times
- Ensuring that all required content and licenses are received and in place in good time for all performances
- Ensuring all health & safety procedures are followed in cinema at all times at all times, including fire marshal duties
- Assistance with A/V set-ups in other parts of the building (DJ decks, microphones, etc..)
- Running of private events – liaising with clients & management to ensure that all aspects run to the high standards that are expected
Additionally, this role includes Front of house duties, such as:
- Managing guestlist and checking in customers for screenings
- Working alongside box office team and assisting where required
- Daily reporting to general manager and wider business
- Ensuring all areas of the cinema are clean and tidy at all times
- General member/customer relations in all areas of the cinema space
Person specifications
- 1-2 years’ experience in a projectionist-style position
- Cinema projection and presentation
- Basic customer service experience IT and networking
- Audio/Visual equipment – Microphones, mixing desks, vision mixers, audio connections (such as coaxial, XLR)
- Use of different types of video files/codecs (ProRes, H264/H265, MP4, DCP)
- Use of different types of AV connections (HDMI, DP, VGA)
