Café Assistant

Cotswold Chine School is a residential school for children aged 7 – 19 and the café is based on site. This is an exciting opportunity for a practical hands-on enthusiastic candidate.

Responsibilities for this role:

  • The successful candidate with have the unusual opportunity to support the running of a local charitable café as the ‘9th classroom’ of Cotswold Chine School.
  • The school’s Halfway Café is designed to teach children through practical work experience to develop social skills, practical food preparation, hygiene and nutrition skills to prepare them for adulthood.

The candidate would join a supportive team who welcome education staff from all backgrounds and levels of experience looking to begin a career in special educational needs teaching. We specialise in trauma-informed, attachment-focused relationship based, therapeutic approach to teaching. Our schools provide a nurturing environment for education staff.

Clinical Therapy Assistant

The Clinical and Therapy Assistant position is based at Cotswold Chine School and the surrounding homes, and works as part of a well-established, multi-disciplinary therapy team, supporting within the different settings across the charity, such as within the education, therapy and residential care settings.

Responsibilities for this role:

  • Supporting children in their therapy goals and taking part in group sessions.
  • Following skills and therapy programmes as directed and devised by the therapist.
  • Assisting with the implementation of identified, individual strategies in workshops to support development.

Teaching Assistant

Providing support across all sites, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated full time Gardener to support the project and maintenance team.

Responsibilities for this role:

  • Maintaining and developing all areas of the gardens at the allocated site on a day-to-day basis, and at other Novalis sites as required.
  • Managing & maintaining the green houses as and when required.
  • Restoring and developing areas as directed by the Project Manager.
  • Assisting in carrying out general landscaping work.
  • Keeping the grounds clean and free from litter.
  • Keeping paths and drives in a safe condition, particularly during the autumn/winter months.
  • Removing snow and other hazards so that paths are safe and maintaining adequate supplies of salt and sand.
  • Welcoming young people, residents and students to use the gardens and adapting the work to fit in with their needs.

The IT Technician position has a workload consisting of technical systems administration duties and end-user support working alongside an existing team and the IT Services Manager. Most work will remain office based either at the Trust’s headquarters or its other sites as needed.

This role is an excellent opportunity for a candidate just leaving full time education studying an IT related qualification and starting a career in IT. You will be guided into the role using the technologies and tools in use at the Trust by the existing team, but a fundamental understanding and good knowledge of concepts will be required.

Responsibilities for this role:

  • Testing, deploying, and supporting new equipment and services and IT systems.
  • Supporting and maintaining existing equipment, services, and IT systems.
  • Working with Microsoft-based server operations including but not limited to:
