Notts Gymnastics Academy is looking for a dynamic Participation Lead Coach to join our thriving Gymnastics for All (GFA) programme, reaching over 1,200 participants weekly.
About the Role
As part of our Participation Team, you’ll work closely with the Assistant Head of GFA to lead and support a team of enthusiastic coaches, helping to deliver high-quality, engaging, and inclusive gymnastics sessions. This is a hands-on role, combining on-floor coaching with programme development, team leadership, and coach mentoring.
This is an exciting opportunity for a coach with established experience who is ready to move into a role that combines coaching delivery with mentoring, coach and programme development
Your responsibilities will include:
· Lead and deliver progressive, engaging, and inclusive GFA sessions.
· Mentor, support, and upskill existing coaches to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.
· Work collaboratively with the Assistant Head of GFA to improve session structures and raise holistic coaching standards.
· Support planning and delivery of club-wide events such as Awards weeks, displays, and competitions.
· Uphold safeguarding, health & safety, and Academy policies.
· Promote a positive and professional coaching culture within the team.
· Act as a key point of contact for parents, gymnasts, and coaches, ensuring effective communication and professionalism.
· Support the Assistant Head of GFA with HR-related matters including managing timesheets, conducting appraisals, writing coach development plans, and providing training & CPD opportunities.
· Engage in continuous professional development to maintain and enhance your skills and qualifications.
We’re seeking a leader with:
You’ll be an experienced coach with a passion for participation gymnastics, strong leadership skills, and the ability to motivate both gymnasts and coaches. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy being part of a collaborative and supportive team.
Essential requirements
· British Gymnastics Level 2 (or above) coaching qualification.
· Experience leading or mentoring other coaches.
· Availability to work evenings and weekends as required.
· A commitment to creating a safe, fun, and inclusive environment for all.
