About the Role

As Registered Manager you will lead the day-to-day operation of our children’s home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safety and therapeutic support. You will be responsible for creating a nurturing environment where young people can thrive, while ensuring full compliance with Ofsted, Children’s Homes Regulations and all relevant safeguarding legislation.

You will manage and develop the staff team, oversee care planning and drive continuous improvement to achieve positive outcomes for the children in our care.

  • Drive Foundation vehicles to transport young people to appointments and activities

Key Responsibilities

As Registered Manager, you will:

  • Lead the day to day management of the children’s home in line with Ofsted and Children’s Homes Regulations.
  • Promote safeguarding and act as the Designated Safeguarding lead for the home.
  • Ensure the home provides a safe, nurturing, trauma informed care that meets each child’s individual needs.
  • Oversee care planning risk assessments, behaviour support plans and placement management.
  • Manage budgets, resources and rota planning effectively.
  • Recruit, supervise, support and develop the staff team, ensuring high standards of practice.

Essential Experience & Qualifications

You will need to have:

  • A level 5 diploma in leadership & management or the willingness to work towards.
  • Significant experience working within a children’s residential care setting, supporting children with complex needs, trauma or challenging behaviours.
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience within a residential childcare or social care environment.
  • A strong understanding of children’s home regulations, quality standards and Ofsted inspection frameworks.
  • Experienced in developing and leading staff teams, including supervision, performance and training.
