At Aberdeen Sports Village, we are looking for an exceptional Duty Manager to join our Operations Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in one of Scotland's premier sports facilities, helping us deliver outstanding experiences for our customers while maintaining the highest standards of safety, service and operational excellence.

The Role

As a Duty Manager, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient and customer-focused operation of Aberdeen Sports Village and associated facilities. You will lead shifts, support and develop staff, oversee health and safety compliance, coordinate activities and events, and ensure our facilities are maintained to the highest standard.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and supporting operational teams to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Being the key holder on duty and responding to emergency situations when required.
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, cleanliness and facility presentation.
• Supporting staff training, development and performance management.
• Overseeing swimming pool operations, water quality and plant room checks.
• Managing sports equipment, facility set-ups and programmed activities.
• Supporting customer engagement and resolving enquiries and complaints professionally.
• Contributing to continuous improvement
• Managing a large team

Essential qualifications and experience include:

• RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ).- we can help you get this – applicants must be able to swim!
• First Aid at Work
• Experience working in a customer-focused service environment.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Experience of health and safety management.
• A passion for sport, physical activity and customer service.

Working Pattern

This role operates on a rota basis across a seven-day week and will include early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays. It is a full time role of an average of 36.5 hours a week
