Digital Marketing Intern

Hours: 2 days per week Fixed term: September to end of December 2026

Purpose

Want to use your digital superpowers to help seriously ill children? We’ve got just the role for you.

We’re looking for a creative and curious Digital Marketing Intern to support o ur marketing team a couple of days a week. If you love creating content that connects, enjoy trying out new ideas and want hands -on experience across digital marketing – you’ll fit right in.

You don’t need to know everything already – we’ll give you all the support and training you need. We’re much more interested in your enthusiasm, creativity and willingness to give it a go. You’ll also need to be comfortable talking to people, as the role involves meeting families on the wards to showcase our impact – so being friendly, confident and happy to strike up conversations matters.

What you’ll be doing

Content creation

• Creating engaging content for our social media channels - Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn, including capturing and editing simple videos and creating graphics

• Helping plan and schedule social media content across all channels

• Writing clear, warm copy for posts, web content and campaigns

• Repurposing existing content – turning our news, stories and longer form content into fresh social posts and web content

• Supporting with simple paid social ads (we’ll show you how this works)

Looking after our social media

• Helping with the day-to-day management of our social channels : liking, commenting on and sharing supporter -generated content to build and engage our online community

• Replying to comments and inbox messages in a friendly, helpful way

Supporting digital and website content

• Uploading and updating content on our website CMS, including case studies and small edits (full Wordpress training provided)

• Helping with simple SEO tasks, like keyword research and small content improvements

Design and campaign support

• Creating simple posters and graphics in Canva (training provided)

• Supporting campaigns and appeals by helping create digital content and assets

• Helping with general marketing activity when needed – from emails to our print newsletter and campaign materials
