Corpus Christi College is seeking a highly organised and motivated Development Officer to join its ambitious Development Team. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of one of Oxford University's oldest colleges by supporting fundraising, donor relations, alumni engagement and campaign activity. It is particularly well suited to someone seeking to establish a long-term career in fundraising, alumni relations and higher education development.

Following the successful conclusion of the Spencer Building campaign – the most successful fundraising campaign in the College's history – the Development Team is now preparing for its next major fundraising campaign. This role offers a rare opportunity to gain experience of campaign development from an early stage and contribute to activities that will help secure the College's academic future for generations to come.

The Development Officer role is varied and rewarding, offering exposure to all aspects of higher education fundraising, including donor relations, stewardship, alumni engagement, prospect research, fundraising operations, events and campaign planning. As part of a small and collaborative team, you will gain hands-on experience across a broad range of activities and work closely with colleagues, alumni and supporters both in Oxford and beyond.

You will play an important role in the day-to-day operation of the Development Office, coordinating administrative processes, managing database records, supporting fundraising campaigns and helping to deliver an exceptional experience for alumni, donors and friends of the College. Using your strong organisational, communication and research skills, you will contribute directly to the Development Team’s fundraising and stewardship objectives.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, adaptable and able to manage competing priorities effectively. They will enjoy building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and possess excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail and a genuine interest in fundraising and higher education.

In addition to an annual salary of £32,000, the College offers a strong commitment to professional development, a generous pension scheme, free meals when on duty, access to an Employee Assistance Programme, and 29 days' annual leave (plus Bank Holidays).

We welcome applications from suitably qualified candidates from all backgrounds and particularly encourage applications from groups that are currently under-represented within the higher education and fundraising sectors.
