- Would you like to join us in supporting those effected by drug and alcohol issues to improve their health and wellbeing?The Role
We are looking for a passionate and motivated Practitioner to work within the Young Person’s Service, Via: The Edge in West Berkshire. The post is predominantly based in Newbury, but some travel across the County will be required.
You will:
- deliver age-appropriate excellent drug and alcohol services to young people and their significant others, including family members friends and carers, facilitating positive outcomes.
- deliver early intervention and prevention work, in a variety of youth settings to prevent young people from engaging in substance misusing and risk-taking behaviours and enable young people to develop boundaries, emotional resilience and self-esteem.
- manage a case load and coordinate and deliver assessment and evidence-based interventions (brief and structured), recovery planning and aftercare planning.
- work collaboratively with colleagues and key stakeholder across multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring adherence with all Via policies and Safeguarding principles.

Please note: the role will involve some peripatetic working including satellites and outreach, due to this aspect it would be advantageous to have a driving licence.
