Day Support Worker – Kimbrose Club
£12.71 per hour
16 hours per week, 4 x 4hr shifts
About the role
We have a 16 hour per week contract available for a Day Support Worker in our beautifully kept day service for older people living with dementia.
Shifts are 4hrs, no evenings, or bank holidays.
At the Kimbrose Club we specialise in supporting older people, living with dementia, to live fulfilled life within their communities, by providing a wide variety of activities, keeping minds activity, and engaged, reducing anxiety, loneliness, and isolation.
Main Responsibilities
You will support the physical and emotional well-being and social needs of our club members by:
· Assisting club members with personal care
· Providing physical and mental stimulation by facilitating and taking part in recreational activities with club members
· Monitoring club members wellbeing and health and maintaining care plans.
· Administering medication.
· Assisting with appropriate levels of fluid and nutritional intake.
· Generally promoting our club members’ independence, choice, dignity, and respect
· Providing cover for the Kitchen Assistant when they are on leave.
· Act as a driver, escort when necessary.
· Delivering the very best standards of personal care, activities, and recording all actions.
Personal Specification
· Be conscientious, flexible and dependable
· Able to interact with a cheerful demeanour
· Able to work within a team
· Have a passion for supporting older people to enjoy life
· Hold a full manual driving licence.
