About the role

This role will support the Data and Insights Manager to deliver the Young Scot data and insight service. You will transform data into clear, actionable insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.

Contract: Full-time (35 hours per week). Permanent

Location: Hybrid working remotely and in the Young Scot office (Caledonian Exchange, 19A Canning Street, Edinburgh, EH3 8EG)

Closing date: 25 September, 2026

Salary: £24,612 to £26,860

You will work closely with teams across the organisation to develop high-quality dashboards, reports and visualisations using Power BI, Tableau and Excel. Combining analytical expertise, data visualisation, stakeholder engagement and data storytelling, you will ensure information is accurate, accessible and meaningful for both technical and non-technical audiences.

This is an opportunity with room to grow your skills in data visualisation and survey development, as well as the knowledge that you are improving life for young people in Scotland.

The successful candidate will have excellent Microsoft Excel skills, an interest in data visualisation and some knowledge of the public and third sectors in Scotland.
