Firvale Community Hub is recruiting a Reducing Infant Mortality Project Lead, to co-ordinate and deliver an exciting new project to significantly expand our legacy work with families at risk of infant mortality, especially those with a BAME heritage.
The role will involve directly working with some of the most disadvantaged communities in Sheffield to reduce the risk factors associated with infant mortality. It will be vital to build trusting relationships with individuals, organisations and groups affected, and to develop an effective programme of delivery.
You will lead on this important work, participating in partnership meetings regularly, and working together with healthcare providers and those in the public health field with a common goal of reducing the level of infant mortality experienced in Sheffield.
Role purpose:
To engage effectively with communities, particularly families prenatally, throughout pregnancy, and postnatally, to reduce infant mortality in Sheffield. To improve wider community understanding of infant mortality risk factors and risk reduction. To enact risk reduction measures with families bespoke and tailored to their needs.
