Bloxham School is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Development Officer to play a vital role in enhancing our fundraising efforts and engaging our vibrant school community. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make a meaningful impact through development work in a highly respected independent school.
Working closely with the Head of Development, you will help deliver key fundraising initiatives that support transformational bursaries and major school projects. Your work will help secure the future of the School and strengthen lifelong connections between the School and its alumni, families, and supporters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fundraising and Stewardship: Develop and deliver regular giving campaigns, manage donor communications, and create compelling content to demonstrate impact. Increase the membership and contribution of The Egerton Society (our legacy society) and expand the School’s stewardship programme.
- Database & Financial Management: Oversee donor data and gift processing, ensuring accurate records and regular reporting in collaboration with the Finance Team.
- Communication & Engagement: Create engaging digital and print materials to support campaigns and donor engagement. Foster lasting relationships with the Bloxham community.
- Internal Collaboration & Event Support: Work cross-departmentally and support engagement and stewardship events, occasionally outside standard hours.
About You:
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent, with experience in fundraising or development.
- Skilled in building relationships and communicating effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Proficient in CRM databases (training on InTouch will be provided) and confident with Office 365.
- A creative thinker with excellent attention to detail, strong organisation, and a proactive attitude.
- Empathetic and aligned with Bloxham School’s ethos and values.
Experience within the independent education sector and knowledge of data protection regulations and charitable giving laws would be advantageous, but not essential.

Salary:
- £35,000 to £43,000 dependent upon experience
