The BFI is looking for a Press Assistant who, working as an integral part of the Festival PR team, will provide support in the delivery of the multi-tiered publicity campaign for the world-class BFI Flare LGBTQIA+ Film Festival, providing effective day-to-day administrative PR and Flare press office support.

BFI Flare is our long-running LGBTQIA+ festival, with a growing audience in London and on BFI Player, and one of the most inclusive film events of the BFI’s annual calendar.

Role responsibilities
- Compile regular media coverage on the festival, circulating the coverage to the Festival PR team daily.
- Manage and process Press Accreditation for press delegates and handling delegate queries
- Support in the team where necessary in BFI Flare PR activities, event and projects to include administrative tasks, venue and setup support, information and details to media and delegates.
Person specifications
- Demonstrable PR or press experience gained within a cultural organisation either in a paid or voluntary capacity.
- Demonstrable organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and to manage and meet deadlines.
- Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and any additional database systems.
