HARP has an exciting new recruitment opportunity for a New Deputy Manager who will join a newly established team to provide Intensive support services across six sites.
The Deputy Manager plays a vital leadership role across six residential sites, ensuring the effective delivery of high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with complex needs. Working closely with site managers and frontline staff, they oversee daily operations, maintain compliance with regulatory standards, and promote best practices in care and safeguarding. The role involves mentoring teams, monitoring performance, and implementing service improvements to enhance resident outcomes. With a focus on collaboration and consistency, the Deputy Manager supports the development of staff and fosters a positive, inclusive environment where residents can thrive and achieve their personal goals.
Your purpose will be to:
The Deputy Manager plays a key leadership role within HARP’s Housing First and Intensive Support Services, working alongside and deputising for the Intensive Support Manager. The postholder will:
- Provide day-to-day operational management, supervision, and support to frontline staff, ensuring delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed services within a psychologically informed environment.
- Lead on service delivery, performance monitoring, and partnership working to ensure excellent outcomes for residents with multiple and complex needs.
- Deputise for the Intensive Support Manager in their absence, taking responsibility for staff, service operations, property management, and stakeholder relationships.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation across the service, embedding co-production, recovery-focused practice, and meaningful involvement of people with lived experience.
- Ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with organisational policies, contractual requirements, and best practice standards.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate professional with a background in supported housing or homelessness services, particularly working with residents who have multiple and complex needs. You will have proven experience in leading, supervising, or managing staff and volunteers in a frontline support environment, as well as a strong track record of effective multi-agency collaboration and partnership development. A deep understanding of trauma-informed and psychologically informed approaches is essential, alongside experience in risk assessment, support planning, and managing safeguarding concerns. You will bring excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust and handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism. Strong organisational skills are key, as you will need to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions under pressure. You should also be confident in monitoring data, writing reports, and using evidence to inform practice.
