The role is 37.5 hours working Monday to Friday. As the role evolves there may be an opportunity for the suitable candidate to work from home up to 1 day a week.
Salary is up to £26,775 per annum and is dependent on relevant qualification, experience and skills.
ABOUT YOU
We are inviting applications for the role of HR Administrator, based in our HR team based in Cheltenham.
To be successful in this role;
- You will have a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field or a desire to achieve it.
- You will have previous experience of working as an administrator, in a busy office environment, and ideally, in a HR department.
- It is a small but growing HR team, so the ability to work in a team, share good practice but also have the ability to work without direct supervision is important.
- You will have the ability to handle people of all capabilities and attitude, and maintain good working relationships across a range of staff levels, both internally and externally.
- You will be able to act in a professional and discretionary manner at all times.
- You will have an excellent standard of literacy, numeracy and English language skills.
- Your attention to detail and accuracy, will be excellent
- You will have the ability to work in a confidential way and have experience of handling sensitive and personal information.
- You will be able to work to tight deadlines, to work well in a busy office environment and juggle a number of priorities at the same time.
- You will have a high level of competence in office technologies, including Office 365 (Excel, Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Outlook) and cloud-based systems as well as being familiar with office equipment – photocopier/scanner etc.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As the HR Administrator, you will provide administrative support to the HR team and the wider organisation. You will play a key role at our busy head office in Cheltenham, often being the first point of contact for HR, general queries and administrative tasks. No two days will be the same in this role, so you will be adaptable, willing to work with other HR team members and able to use your initiative but also work as an effective team member.
The HR team cover a range of duties from recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, HR lifecycle, training and compliance, such as DBS.
You will support the HR team in providing a professional HR service to the organisation in all matters relating to employees and employer/employee relations.
The HR team are a hardworking team, who have to juggle a number of different priorities each day. You will also be helping the Central administration team, by answering the door and may help with setting up rooms for interviews. There are a number of steps in the head office, that you will need to go up and down on a daily basis, and alongside that you will be expected to assist where needed to ensure the HR team and administration team are carrying out all their tasks. The suitable candidate will be flexible and helpful, and happy to help out when needed, acting professionally, at all times.
You will be organised, be able to communicate effectively, enjoy working in a team and helping others, be attentive to detail and be able to meet deadlines. As you will be the first point of call for many HR telephone calls and emails, and often greeting visitors, you will be comfortable with, and enjoy communicating with colleagues and external visitors.
