The Senior Conservator Industry will support Amgueddfa Cymru’s approach to the conservation, maintenance, preservation and running of Amgueddfa Cymru’s unique Industrial collections, with a focus on small objects. They will provide high quality advice and guidance to colleagues across departments and the other Amgueddfa Cymru sites to enable the use of the industrial collections in our public programmes.
The Senior Conservator, Industry will provide the day-to-day care of their collections and help to implement the delivery of the Conservation and Collections Care plans and strategies, which align with the Museum’s Operational Plan. They will support the project delivery for a diverse range of conservation activities, which relate to the Industry Colections.
Your base will be at National Collections Centre (NCC) Nantgarw but you will be required to work occasionally on specific conservation tasks and projects at other sites; namely St Fagans National Museum of History in Cardiff, National Waterfront Museum, Swansea, National Wool Museum, Drefach and Big Pit: National Coal Museum.
