Job Title: Service Manager (Newark) Salary: £28,500 Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday – Friday (ability to work flexibly – early, late and weekends) Type of contract: Full-Time, Permanent Reporting to: Registered Care Manager Benefits: 25 days annual leave + bank holidays (pro-rata), pension contribution and sickness scheme Job Purpose: The purpose of this role is to oversee the day-to-day operations of some of Reach Care’s supported living and community care support services within Newark, Nottinghamshire. Provide high-quality line management of Reach Care’s Team Leader and Care Support Workers workforce, within the settings of the services in which you are responsible, thus aligning with Reach Care’s values. Key Responsibilities: Supported Living and Community Care Services • Oversee the day-to-day operations of some of Reach Care’s supported living and community care support services within Newark, Nottinghamshire. • Manage the delivery of high-quality, person-centred support in accordance with Reach Care’s values, policies and procedures and in line with our contractual and regulatory requirements. • Provide hands-on care support within the services for which you are responsible when scheduled (20% of contracted hours, per week). • Participate in Reach Care’s on-call responsibilities. • Lead on ‘Positive Behaviour Support’ (PBS) and monitor the implementation of its principles within the services for which you are responsible. • Stay up to date with the latest research and best practices in the field of PBS, integrating new knowledge into the development of intervention strategies. • Monitor and evaluate service performance, including quality of care, staff productivity, stakeholder satisfaction and implement necessary improvements to enhance service delivery. • Review and update service user care plans and risk assessments. • Support the planning and mobilisation of new care support provision. • Complete annual service user reviews and multi-disciplinary meetings. • Support Reach Care’s Scheduling Coordinator, ensuring effective scheduling to meet the needs of people using our services. • Manage health and safety requirements within the properties where you work, ensuring the regular scheduling of fire safety checks and the monitoring and reporting of any required property/equipment safety checks and repairs. • Prepare reports on service delivery, for which you are responsible, as directed by Reach Care’s Registered Care Manager and/or others within Senior Management positions. • Undertake regular spot checks, quality assurance audits and health and safety spot checks. Workforce Management • Undertake regular supervision of Team Leaders and Care Support Workers through observation, practice and 1:1 supervision/appraisals. • Provide honest and effective communication to staff within the settings of the services in which you are responsible, thus ensuring staff are informed, engaged and productive. • Provide leadership and guidance to team members (Team Leaders and Care Support Workers), fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. • Complete regular staff team and service meetings. • Provide service and workforce data, when required, to support staff recruitment and induction processes. • Identify and support staff/team development and training needs. General • Collaborate with other Service Managers within the organisation and provide cover where required.
