Job Summary

Join St John Ambulance as a D365 Engineer and play a key role in powering the technology behind our life-saving services. As part of our DevOps team, you’ll support, manage, and continuously enhance our critical platforms, with a strong focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365. Working closely with the Development Ops Manager and Head of DevOps, you’ll help deliver reliable, high-quality solutions that make a real difference.

Acting as a technical subject matter expert within our D365 product squads, you’ll collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, colleagues, and third-party partners to design and deliver impactful solutions that maximise the value of our technology. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment—balancing priorities, meeting deadlines, and ensuring our services remain stable, secure, and fit for purpose while staying up to date with evolving technologies and regulatory requirements.

About You

  • Degree in computing (or related field) or equivalent commercial experience, with ITIL Foundation certification or similar practical knowledge
  • Demonstrable experience as an Engineer within a similarly scaled organisation
  • Strong experience supporting business-critical applications and working with complex data sets
  • Proven expertise with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CE) at enterprise level, ideally with Azure, Dynamics, or Power Platform certifications
  • Experience collaborating with business stakeholders and product owners to translate complex requirements into effective solutions
  • Familiarity with ITIL/ITSM tools, and experience working in agile, waterfall, DevOps, and cross-functional delivery environments (desirable: exposure to bespoke applications and charity or healthcare settings)

About the Role

  • Lead P1 incident resolution to ensure rapid restoration of critical services
  • Gather, analyse, and document business requirements, translating them into effective technical solutions
  • Design and deliver solutions aligned to business needs, including quality assurance and UAT support
  • Manage change, deployment, and release processes to maintain service stability
  • Create and maintain clear technical documentation and system schematics
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with hands-on expertise in Dynamics 365 Sales, Power Platform, and SharePoint
