Catalyst is recruiting for a Youth Engagement Officer. The key function of this position is to support the delivery of YUSA’s 5-year strategy in the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering outcomes of this National Lottery Community Fund, funded Project.

YUSA is a collective of key partners who have come together to form an alliance to support the sustainability of high-quality open-access youth provision across Stockton.

The Youth Engagement Officer will be responsible for supporting and working closely with the YUSA Strategic Lead to ensure the successful implementation and delivery of a 5-year strategy. The post holder will be crucial in the effective networking and partnership development across the youth sector to help with supporting the sustainability of high-quality youth provision across Stockton-on-Tees.

A key element of this role is for the post holder to gather information directly from children and young people on their experiences to steering the direction of YUSA to meet the needs of Children & Young People of the Borough.

This includes continued mapping of current youth provision across Stockton-on-Tees and what additional support services and provisions is available for children and young people to help them fulfill their ambitions.

LOCATION: Combination of office working, home working and working in the community         

SALARY: £26,994 (Pro Rata for PT)

DURATION: Fixed term until 29th May 2026

HOURS: Flexible – will consider full time, part time or job share up to 37.5 hours per week
