About Gymnasts for Change International
Gymnasts for Change International (G4CI) is a survivor-led global charity dedicated to ending abusive coaching practices in gymnastics and advancing human rights in sport. Established in 2024, the charity has already contributed to significant policy reforms within British Gymnastics and is now entering an exciting new phase of development and international influence.
G4CI is seeking to appoint at least two new Trustees to join its Board and help guide the organisation through its next stage of growth. The charity is particularly interested in individuals with specialist expertise in one or more of the following areas:

Human rights campaigning and/or strategic litigation

Sports governance
This is an opportunity to play a vital role in shaping the future of a growing international organisation that is:

Supported by significant core funding until 2027 from the Oak Foundation

Making tangible impact in the UK and across the global sporting community
Who G4CI is Looking For
G4CI welcomes applications from individuals who are:

Passionate about creating safer, athlete-centred sport

Strategic, thoughtful, and collaborative in approach

Committed to survivor-led values and meaningful, lasting change
Previous trustee experience is not required; a full induction and training will be provided.
The organisation particularly encourages applications from:

Individuals with lived experience of abuse in gymnastics or other sports

People of colour and those from the global majority
-
Neurodiverse, disabled, and LGBTQIA+ individuals
Trustee Roles
G4CI is particularly seeking candidates with experience in the following areas:
Trustee with experience in advocacy, campaigning, or strategic litigation
This trustee may have experience in:

Designing or delivering advocacy or media campaigns
-
Political and public affairs engagement
-
Advising on or coordinating strategic litigation
Trustee with experience in sports governance
This trustee may bring:

An understanding of UK and/or international sport systems
-
Experience with national or international governing bodies or sport charities
-
Insight into safeguarding structures and regulatory frameworks within sport
Role Details
- Meetings:Four Board meetings per year (hybrid – London and online)
- Time Commitment:Approximately 8 hours per month, including working groups
- Remuneration:Voluntary role (reasonable expenses reimbursed)
- Support:Full induction and trustee training provided
