Role Profile This is an exciting opportunity for an inspirational and passionate cook/teacher to join our team as a Cookery Hobby Instructor. As a Cookery Hobby Instructor you will be responsible for the hobby teaching allocated to you ensuring that an appropriate programme is prepared and delivered for each age group of children that you teach. This role is term time only and delivered as part of the after school extra-curricular programme. Start Date 01 September 2026 Job Description Reports to: Head of Data Systems Particular Tasks & Responsibilities: • Designing an appropriate programme for each age group for each term taking into consideration all dietary that may be present • Planning, budgeting and ordering ingredients for each session • Supervising the children throughout each session • Ensuring that the kitchen and equipment are cleaned at the end of each day • Complete hobby registers on SOCS and Safeguarding • All Port Regis staff are responsible for safeguarding the School’s children and must comply with the School’s safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures. General • • • • The job description is a general outline of the role’s duties and responsibilities and may be amended as the School develops and the role grows. The post holder may be required to undertake other duties as reasonably required from time to time. The post holder will be required to adhere to the School’s policies and procedures as issued from time to time and available on the School’s compliance system, iAMCompliant. Comply with statutory requirements for example the Health and Safety at Work Act and the Data Protection Act and School policies and procedures in this regard including carrying out and implementing risk assessments as required.
