Volunteering with Victim Support in Essex
As a Volunteer in Essex your role will include:
- Organising and attending events and meetings to raise our VS profile
- Engaging with our local communities to inform them about crime and our work
- Gaining experience in planning and organising events and delivering presentations.
- Working in partnerships with local Community Voluntary Services (CVS), universities and other local partnership organisations.
- Representing Victim Support at CVS events, university events, pride events and local fetes.
What we ask of you?
In order to join us as a Community Engagement Volunteer, you must:
- Be 18 years of age or over.
- Be able to volunteer for at least 2-4 hours per month, for at least 6 months.
- Complete a 3-day workbook.
- Undertake a DBS check where required
- Be able to provide two satisfactory references.
