About us

Global Action Plan works with communities to take action on climate issues today, shifting the systems
behind them to create a more just and sustainable world. We have three focus areas: Health, Big Tech and
Education.

Through our Education movement, we enable young people to shape and lead social and environmental
action at home, in their local communities, and with their peers across the globe. Through embracing a
transformative learning approach that fosters critical reflection, compassionate values, collaboration, and
meaningful real-world action we inspire a generation motivated to create a better world for all.

• Our award-winning action programmes including the international Dirt is Good Programme and
our current Good Life Schools programme have supported thousands of young people to lead
action on the issues they care about

• Our tools, training and resources have inspired thousands of educators to deliver innovative
transformative learning approaches across the UK, demonstrating the importance of the how not
the what

• Our campaigning with young people and educators has led to clean air being introduced as a
child’s right by the UN and played an important role in doing X in the recent curriculum review.

By uncovering and challenging the values-perception gap through research and action, Global Action Plan
has helped people see that most of us truly care about others and the planet, empowering collective action
towards a fairer, more sustainable future.

About Good Life Schools

We live in a world full of pressures to buy more than we need. In our ‘buy, buy, buy’ culture, children and
young people are bombarded by adverts on a daily basis – adverts which promote the idea that
materialism is the key to happiness and success. But relentless purchasing does not necessarily bring us
long-term happiness – it is in fact, for many people, doing the opposite. Over-consumption not only
harms the health of our planet but can also have a detrimental impact on mental wellbeing.

Good Life Schools is a student-led education programme, currently delivered in secondary schools and
post 16 settings across England and Wales, supporting young people to reflect on what makes a good life
and design a hopeful new way of living. The programme strengthens the relationship between schools
and their local communities, supporting everyone to lead good lives. The programme is working with
communities in three regions of the UK – South Wales, North East England, and South Yorkshire and the
Midlands.

With thanks to funding from the National Lottery #Iwill Fund, we now have the opportunity to bring this
innovative programme to primary schools.

About the role

We are looking for a Community Engagement Lead to coordinate youth-led community action through the
Good Life Schools programme. In this role you will:

• Project manage the adaptation, piloting and rollout of an adapted Good Life Schools programme,

•

with support from the Head of Education and wider Education team.

based in Suffolk, testing delivery, supporting engagement, and refining materials based on
learning.

• Support and facilitate second phase rollout to five additional Suffolk based primary schools

(Autumn term 2026), embedding learning and strengthening systems.

• Support expansion to a total of 12 primary schools nationally, ensuring quality, consistency and

impact as the programme scales.

• Plan delivery schedules, coordinate partners, manage small budgets, maintain accurate records,

and ensure strong communication with schools.

• Refine and improve programme resources, toolkits and guidance for primary settings.
• Deliver blended support (in-person and virtual) to teachers and pupils, guiding schools through

co-creating and delivering a Good Life project.

• Help schools turn pupil ideas into practical action, identifying and coordinating external partners

where appropriate.

• Gather and analyse evidence of impact across all phases, using insights to strengthen the model

and inform national scaling.

• Build and manage relationships with participating schools, onboard new schools, and contribute

to shared learning opportunities across the network.

• Work as part of Global Action Plan’s Education team, line-managed by the Head of Education,

The successful applicant must be able to travel to primary schools across Suffolk County as needed,
